It is a compelling exploration of the art and science of effective communication. It dives into the hidden strategies to connect deeply, inspire trust, and drive change.

The more impactful you want to be, the better you got to get in working with people. - Anonymous wise person

I am looking to improve on interpersonal relationships, build influence, excel as a leader, and enhance team dynamics. A key to all this is clear and authentic communication. My style of leadership is influential and direct. I am mindful of leading with servant leadership. I care about getting people and programs to the next level and to great distances. I want to leave things way better than when I found them. To carry that out effectively, I am always looking for ways to become a more impactful communicator. It looks like this book has actionable insights, inspiring, as well as interesting approaches in connecting with others.

Think like a monk

Train your mind for peace and purpose everyday

by Jay Shetty

We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves. - Dalai Llama

I’m reading this book to explore practical ways of cultivating inner peace, clarity, and purpose in daily life. His approach, inspired by his years as a monk, offers insights on reframing thoughts, letting go of distractions, and focusing on what truly matters. In a world filled with constant demands and stress, this book seems like a helpful guide to grounding myself and aligning my actions with my values. I’m hoping it will provide both inspiration and practical tools to live more mindfully and intentionally every day.

I’ve read and continue to practice Ryan Holiday’s The Daily Stoic book and its principles. It has made me a much better human being over the past several years. It’s a forever learning journey. Hoping Jay Shetty’s book would help me with new and different pointers, and principles to live more peacefully and meaningfully.
